1. What we have done

• Contrast. Body text on the dark ground measures about 16:1. The primary button — ink type on beeswax yellow — measures about 9.3:1, which clears Level AAA. Disabled buttons still measure above 5:1, so a disabled control is readable rather than invisible. Beeswax yellow is never used as text on a light ground, because that combination fails.
• Keyboard. Every control, including the cart panel, the site index, the Fold Finder and the flip photograph, is reachable and operable from the keyboard. Focus is shown with a visible beeswax outline offset from the element. A skip link to the main content is the first thing in the tab order.
• Screen readers. Headings are properly nested, every form field has a real label rather than a hint that vanishes when you type, errors are tied to their field, and results that appear without a page change — the Fold Finder answer, the add-to-cart confirmation, form responses — are announced politely.
• Images. Every photograph that carries meaning has a description of what is in it. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology instead of being described.
• Motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, the hero cross-fade, the card flip and every transition are switched off. Nothing on the site moves, flashes or plays on its own.
• Zoom and reflow. Pages reflow to a single column at 400% zoom with no horizontal scrolling. Text is set in relative units and can be resized without loss.
• Colour is never the only cue. Selected options in the Fold Finder are marked by state as well as by colour; required fields are marked in text as well as with an asterisk.

2. What we know is imperfect

• The four-stage journey rail in the hero is decorative and driven by scroll position. It is hidden from assistive technology and duplicated in text further down the page, but a keyboard-only user cannot “operate” it. Nothing is lost by skipping it.
• The patina slider is a native range input, which is reliable with assistive technology, but the difference between frames is visual. The written description beside it changes with the slider and carries the same information in words.
• Photographs of leather grain do not translate fully into text. Where the difference matters — grade, tanning, thickness, weight — it is stated as a number or a named grade rather than shown.

3. Testing

We test with keyboard-only navigation, with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, at 400% browser zoom and with an automated audit of contrast, landmarks, labels and heading order before each release. Automated tools do not catch everything, which is why the next section matters more than this one.

We acknowledge within one business day. If a fix will take longer than that, we will offer to complete the purchase with you over the phone or by email in the meantime, at the same prices and with the same policies. Nobody should have to fight a website to buy a passport cover.
