Why it is like this
Because it rolls, it creases along the same four lines every time, and those creases go dark first. Within a year it reads as a used tool roll rather than an accessory.
Uncoated leather against cable insulation can pick up a faint transfer mark from coloured cables. It fades under a cloth.
This one changes colour
Vegetable-tanned and uncoated: this article will darken with handling, take on a sheen where it is rubbed most, and keep a record of what you put it through. That change is the material behaving normally, not a fault, and it is not covered by — or excluded from — any return on the grounds of appearance.

Grain varies across a hide. Growth wrinkles, healed insect marks, range scars and shade differences between panels are characteristics of the material and are not grounds on their own for a defect claim. Every article is still covered by the ordinary 30-day return if you simply do not want it.
