Why it is like this
The two pockets are offset by 6 mm in depth so the booklets do not stack directly on top of one another. That is what stops a two-passport cover ending up nearly twice as thick as a single.
Handing over two passports at once is faster than handing over two covers, and there is one fewer thing to put back in a pocket afterwards.
Natural marks are not faults
Grain varies across a hide. Growth wrinkles, healed insect marks, range scars and shade differences between panels are characteristics of the material and are not grounds on their own for a defect claim. Every article is still covered by the ordinary 30-day return if you simply do not want it.
