Why it is like this
We state what the layer is and how it was measured, and we stop there. The construction is a nickel-copper metallised polyester fabric, 0.08 mm, bonded across the full inner face of both panels.

Shielding layer, as measured
Includes a shielding layer; tested at 13.56 MHz.
Measured on a bench reader under ISO/IEC 14443 proximity-coupling conditions, closed article, card held flat against the inner face at 0 mm separation, ambient 23 °C. Attenuation was recorded only at that frequency and under those conditions.
This is a statement of construction and of one measurement. It is not a statement about fraud, theft or the behaviour of any equipment other than the reader used in that test.
Natural marks are not faults
Grain varies across a hide. Growth wrinkles, healed insect marks, range scars and shade differences between panels are characteristics of the material and are not grounds on their own for a defect claim. Every article is still covered by the ordinary 30-day return if you simply do not want it.
