Why it is like this
An open-window tag broadcasts a home address to a hall full of people for the length of a carousel. A flap does not stop anyone determined; it stops the passive reading, which is most of it.
The flap is held by the leather itself, not a magnet — a magnet is one more thing to fail and one more thing near a passport.
Natural marks are not faults
Grain varies across a hide. Growth wrinkles, healed insect marks, range scars and shade differences between panels are characteristics of the material and are not grounds on their own for a defect claim. Every article is still covered by the ordinary 30-day return if you simply do not want it.
